Mr. Al Sharif is a banking professional with over 34 years of experience across Islamic Banking and Central Banking. He started his career with the UAE Central Bank where he held many positions in the Financial Control and Banking Supervision Departments. He later transitioned to Dubai Islamic Bank where he held the position of CFO for 11 years and CEO of DIB Capital, Dubai Islamic Bank’s Investment Banking subsidiary for 4 years. He is currently serving as Chief of International Business and Real Estate Investments at Dubai Islamic Bank, UAE.
He holds several Board memberships on publicly traded companies and financial services firms on behalf of DIB Group.
He has done B.Sc. Degree in accounting in 1986 from the UAE University, majoring in accounting/economics. He also has a Master Degree in accounting in 1991 from the Catholic University of America – Washington DC, USA. In addition he is a CPA from the Accounting Council for the State of Virginia, United States of America
